Mission(s) Accomplished...

Sorry I was AWOL last week - time just seemed to get away from me and before I knew it the weekend was over!

Got myself a bridesmaid's dress for my sister's wedding. We got it at the first store we went to, and after trying (and re-trying) close to a dozen dresses. For those uninitiated, you should realize that when you go shopping for these things, you're trying on "sample" sizes. Most are size 8 or size 10. I'm a size 18. On a good day. Its kind of like pushing a watermelon into the skin of a grape.

The girls were on vacation from school all week. I did my best to keep them busy - took them to the Liberty Science Center, had a few playdates scheduled, got them out of the house as much as I could. We got nearly eight inches of snow on Friday, so that hampered our plans a bit. They're going back to school tomorrow and you'll be hearing my sigh of relief as soon as they're on the bus.

I woke up sick on Saturday morning - AGAIN. I cannot wait for spring. I called my doctor, to find that she'd cancelled her office hours. Dammit. I went to the urgent care center for over two hours; I was happy to get my antibiotics, but the doc also gave me a prednisone shot to bring down the swelling that caused my sore throat, and he also gave me Percoset for my throat pain.

HUH??

You heard me.

I'm happily taking my antibiotics, and the Percs will be sitting in a remote corner of my closet, labeled "In Case of Emergency".
