Monday Crap
This week is shaping up to be incredibly busy. This week is Close To My Heart's annual convention, so there are lots of virtual classes going on, the new catalog is coming out (am waiting to ambush my mail person as we speak), and I have lots of scrapbooking related stuff to complete this week, along with other random crap. But wanted to check in and let you know how life is.
We had a decent time at the wedding. I managed to get my ass into my $8 dress, and it managed to survive the entire night. I may even get another wearing out of it, how about them apples? Here's a funny story for you. I went to the rest room during the wedding - I had one of those thingies on that held in everything I owned, including my poochy belly where I should've had a tummy tuck (god, kids just ruin the hell out of you, don't they?). I didn't realize it at the time, but this thingie had snaps at the bottom so you could use the bathroom. I had no choice but to unsnap and use the ...facilities. After I finished, I couldn't get the damn thing re-snapped. In the end, I took the stupid thing off, snapped it, and put it back on again. All of this took place in a tiny bathroom stall. I was sweating bullets - it was over 90 degrees on Saturday, and over 100 in that stinking bathroom. My faux tan worked out ok -- with the exception of the fact that the tanner took a little too well on my knees, so my knees look brown. The price you pay for glamour.
The babies had a great time with my aunt and uncle - they went in the baby pool and spent the afternoon splashing around. My daughters each have three bathing suits to their names - two more a piece than I own. Which goes to show you, its much more fun for me to dress them than it is for me to dress myself.

The Dress Contortionist scenario sounds like something that would happen to me - especially when it's beyond sweltering out. I had a similar fit with a pack n' play last week that I blogged about. Looking forward to tomorrow's rant!
