Eat this.
Well, I'm on my way to weaning the girls from their bottles. I know I know. I'm a little late on this. I've put it off for a while because the girls have been so damn picky with their eating that I really wanted to make sure they were getting their nutrition. The girls are now doing sippy cups for dinner (well, Dr. D is doing a sippy, Miss Princess is drinking from a straw. And you must provide LOTS of encouragement while she does so.) They are still being really fussy eaters...and as George Carlin said once, "Fussy eater is a euphemism for BIG PAIN IN THE ASS". They are on a steady diet of PB&J for lunch and dinner. Try as I might to incorporate new things, they simply will not try new items. Its frustrating as all hell. What toddler do you know that WON'T eat macaroni and cheese?
Looks like we have one speech therapist. Thank goodness. I only got one once I started calling Early Intervention and raising hell. Sometimes, ya gotta raise a little hell every once in a while to get what you want. We're also going to try and get the girls to a center-based program to address their sensory issues. A good excuse to get the girls out of the house.
Alas, I can't dilly dally too long: I have an open house for my scrapbooking biz on Sunday (which I'm thinking is going to be a total failure, but I try to remain optimistic), and I've done almost NO prep work. So off to scrap I go.
Here's the Friday Fiver:
1. When is the last time you dressed inappropriately for a situation? - I went to a restaurant for the first time with DH not long ago - I was a bit too casually dressed. Oh well, my wardrobe pretty much consists of t-shirts and sweats nowadays.
2. How many friends do you have? - Good friends? Four.
3. Are you running on time today? - Never.
4. Do you use bleach on your laundry? - Sometimes
5. What are your thoughts on guns? - I've had them in my house almost my whole life. I don't have a problem with them.

Hi there! As a mother of a picky eater, I can totally sympathize. Good luck. I still eat PB and J a lot myself! :)
Here via Michele tonight.
