Sluts in the City...

Am I the only one addicted to watching "Sex and the City" reruns on TBS? Granted, I know some of the juicier stuff has been left out...but I don't have HBO, so I never watched them the first time round and don't really know what I'm missing. Truth be told, I'd like to lock myself into a Westin hotel for an entire weekend and watch the whole series on DVD (why Westin, you may ask? They have the BEST beds. You can even buy one. it's called the "Westin Heavenly Bed". Best night's sleep I ever got was on a Westin bed).

Anyway. For those who aren't tuning in, we're up to the part in the series where Carrie cheats on Aidan with Big. Am I the only one, or does everyone think that poor Aidan got the shaft all the way round here? I mean, I love Big, I really do. I think he's a cutie patootie - I'd do him. But Aidan just didn't deserve to get treated like that.

Last nite was the episode where Carrie admits to Aidan she had the affair. I found myself crying. Here's the funny part. If I'd watched this episode 10 years ago, I'd have been crying for Carrie, because she lost this great guy because she made a stupid mistake. Last nite, at a wizened 35, I was crying for Aidan. When she confessed the affair, he looked at her like he'd been shot. And I was like "AW Man, that poor guy. He just wants to build his furniture and be with his woman, and she's a terrible, disloyal whore of a woman". In truth, men are generally destroyed when they find out about infidelity...because (as we all know) a man can just fuck and that's the end of it. When a woman sleeps w/a man, there's an emotional attachment there (well, in most cases anyway). When a woman is unfaithful, it hits a man where he lives -- in his pride and in his ego.

I'm going to watch the encores tonite and cry all over again. Call me crazy.

Went to the mall today w/Lisa & Danielle. Can't wait to see Danielle's Xmas pictures, but as a result, I will NEVER take my girls to JCPenney...what a horror. I thought Picture People was bad. My next hurdle is taking the girls for pics w/Santa - I don't even want to think about it.

The babies are sleeping and I'm off to wash some bottles - so keep on truckin' chicks!
Love,
"Miranda"
