Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Here's the recipe for the pumpkin bread I brought to Dani's on Saturday:

MURIELS FAMOUS PUMPKIN BREAD

2/3 cup white Crisco
16 oz. pumpkin
1/2 cup water
4 eggs
3 1/3 cup flour
2 2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground clove
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ginger
1 box golden raisins
2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Cream together sugar & shortening
Add eggs, pumpkin and water
Add spices, baking soda & baking powder
Add flour
Add nuts & raisins

Mix after adding each ingredient. Split batter between 3 loaf (greased & floured) pans (8" x 3") and bake at 350 for about 70 minutes.

TIP: I used EZ Foil loaf pans and used the Pam with flour spray to grease them. Worked like a charm.

Yummy all by itself, with butter or with cream cheese (try it w/cream cheese & some honey drizzled on it...heaven)
