Slacker = ME.
First off, let me state that I am red-faced and ashamed. In a prior post, I incorrectly referenced the name of my new scrapbooking blog. It is called http://pileofscrap.blogspot.com. I totally suck. And I totally have no. brain. left.
So now - go there, check it out, send me traffic. I'm interested in knowing what you all think.
In other news, I'm just so relieved that we have a new Pope. I feel like all is right with the world again -- psyche!
In still other news, the weather has been so awesome that I've been toying with taking the babies out into the sunshine. Seriously. Every time I bring them to the front door, they shrink away like, "EWWW! Bright light!" Fricken vampire hermits that I birthed. I bought them Elmo sunglasses - shut up! Too cute. Anyway, I know I should be getting them out of the house -- but anyone who knows how tough it is to travel with one infant should try traveling with two. By the time you get them out of the house, its time to come back home again. The weather here has been so damn nice though that I'd actually talked myself into taking them to the park.
...then I realized that their dual stroller is still in the back of DH's station wagon.

Fuck me swinging.
I guess that means we're housebound again today.
They are becoming enthralled by the concept of being mobile. This is where things get ugly. They get bored with their swings (which I still pop them into when I need some time out of the room to shower, have a bowel movement, you know...the basic necessities), and they get bored with their Exersaucers. They want to be on the floor, rolling around. Most of the time they will sit upright and play. But then there are times they get tired and lazy and just want to lay there and roll from one side of the room to the other. And beat each other up. I like to wear my striped referee shirt for those occasions...

I can relate to the hassle of getting outdoors. It's been gorgeous here, too. I've been making it outside for a walk most everyday, but some days are easier than others. I was so tired this morning, but I knew this was my window if I wanted to take them out for a walk. I just stood there staring outside, wishing and hoping that I could press a button and I'd be outside, all babies in the stroller, then walk, then press a button and we're all back inside again.
Nothing's easy. ugh.
