The Opiate of Our Nation...or at least...me.
I watch entirely too much fricken television.
Before I was married, and lived with my parents, I hardly watched any television. Maybe an occasional "Sopranos" or "Sex and the City" episode; but most of the time I was in my room, listening to music, writing, blah blah blah.
Now, I'm completely sucked in. There's "Law and Order SVU", or "CSI"...in a pinch, I'll watch "The Soup" on E! or any "True Life" episode on MTV. Of course, I'm still watching "Sex and the City" reruns, and tuning in to "Dog the Bounty Hunter", and now I'm all up in "Everybody Loves Raymond". Then, of course, there's my new fix..."Rollergirls" on A&E. I'm so loving this show. There's nothing better than a bunch of girls kicking each other's asses on roller skates. In fact, it almost makes me wish I were ten years younger and about 100 pounds lighter, I'd be trying out for the roller derby squad in my own hometown. I definitely missed my calling. I'd be good at kicking someone's ass. Go on. Doubt me. I dare ya.
In other news, my Christmas tree is still up. Yep. My Christmas tree. Last weekend was so crazy with all of us being sick that I just didn't have it in me to take it down. I keep it lit, just because I love my tree so damn much. But I'm kind of tired of it at this point. I look forward to taking it down this weekend FINALLY. Of course, it wouldn't be a weekend without some social activity going on. First DH invited once of his nieces to sleep over, but she had plans. THEN he invited the MIL over because she's been whining about how much she MISSES us (read: HIM. I'm not part of that picture), but I think she blew him off too. Now Mr and Mrs F. are coming over with their brat. I wouldn't mind an evening of adult talk, along with a few cocktails, but they insist on bringing their daughter along. And she's going to spend the night whining, trying to command our attention and coughing all over my kids toys. I can't stand the little spoiled brat; she's poorly behaved, and disrespectful to boot. That's just not fun for me.
Speaking of fun for me, "Law and Order SVU" just started, so I'm outta here. Here's the Friday Fiver:
1. Are you timely or always late? - Always late. A bad habit I inherited from DH.
2. Do you wear a watch?- Not usually, but DH bought me one for Xmas, so I will now.
3. What is the most important event you have been late for? - My wedding day. But DH was even later.
4. What kind of system you have for keeping track of your bills? - A notebook that lists all of my bills I've paid.
5. What is your favorite time of day? - After the babies go to bed, and I have the house to myself.

Good on ya for keeping the Christmas tree up. It keeps the spirit alive just that much longer.
I still smile when I see the neighbors' lights up.

It's men that do it to us I'm sure. I hardly watched any TV before Aggie turned me into a married couch potato! Now thats all we do in the evenings.
I keeppromising I'm going to stop, but it never really happens (unless he's away from home). Maybe when the kids are old enough that we can go out again?
