Friday Freak Out.
Let's see, what's on tap for this weekend?
Well, my MIL is coming over on Sunday afternoon for a BBQ. Good times, good times. I cannot STAND when she comes over.
DH and I need to get the house visitor-ready this weekend as the girls' Early Intervention starts on Monday. In case I hadn't mentioned it, there will be folks in my house EVERY SINGLE DAY of the week, which means that I'll need to seriously revisit my daily routine. Like I said, my girls better start quoting from "War and Peace" before long.
Speaking of the girls, they've begun to stand up on their own, without holding on to anything for support. The other day I found S. standing in front of the TV, watching "Sesame Street", clutching her Ernie doll, standing there as straight as you please. I didn't even want to breathe too loud for fear of startling her and sending her crashing down on her ass. It was too cute. S. is still caught in the nasty cycle of teething-diarrhea-diaper rash, but she doesn't act like it bothers her. You'd think her ass would be burning and she'd be yelling for me to change her diaper, but no -- she just hangs out in the poopy diaper. Go figure.
NYS unemployment turned me down when I tried to re-file my claim this week. You'll notice within the near future that my "I hate the IRS" donation button is going to become a "I hate NYS DOL" button. Feel free to send spare change, as I think I'm going to be cleaning doctor's offices or bartending to scrape together some extra money.
Speaking of money and shopping, I've finally got on line shopping capability added to my scrapbooking site. Check it out here. I'm very psyched about this!
OK, I'm off to do my food shopping. Here's the Friday Fiver to keep you off the streets:
1. How many weddings have you attended? - Um...Just over 10.
2. Wedding registries: buy from the list or freestyle it? - Buy from the list when ever possible.
3. Are you more likely to slow dance or participate in the chicken dance? Slow dance.
4. The garter find/toss experience: cute or tacky? UGH. Tacky as hell.
5. If you could marry someone famous, who would it be? It's a three way tie between Chris Noth ("Mr Big" from Sex & the City), the guy who plays Stabler on "Law & Order SVU" or William Petersen (Grissom from "CSI")...of course, I have no idea if any of them are already married. But its MY meme, dammit, so the sky's the limit.

I'm more likely to do the chicken dance. If I'm going to look foolish--and trust me, if I'm dancing I'm going to look foolish--I might as well be laughing my ass off while Im at it. :)

I think the garter and bouquet toss are tacky. We didn't do either because we didn't have very many single people at the wedding and those who were single begged me not to force them on to the dance floor...
I would marry Grissom, too. And Nick Stokes & Warrick Brown aren't bad either....Yum.
