Paging Doctor Mom...

OK then. In spite of my best efforts, now I am getting sick. I am NOT FUCKING happy about this. The next time DH wants to bring those germ-ridden, filthy little runts into my house he'd better think twice, and bus them all over to the MILs house for a night, because they ain't sleeping here.

There are few worse things on this earth than having to care for babies when you are sick and want to act like a baby yourself. I would give a digit or two for a nanny-type to show up and care for my babies while I lay in bed, watching TV, reading magazines, and pigging out (I almost always get REALLY hungry when I'm sick...unless its a stomach virus, of course).

If you could see me today, you'd laugh your ass off. I'm wearing a white 'surgical' mask whenever I'm around the babies, trying not to re-infect them.

Tomorrow I'll be dealing with the Battle of the Dueling grandmas yet again. My mom will watch them for a few hours while I try to get to the doctor. Then they'll come home to find MIL and auntie waiting for them. Can I just say that I HATE when that woman is in my house? I was going to find an excuse to go out while they're over, but DH says, "well, they're really looking foward to visiting with you...".

Can I just put a cardboard cutout of myself on the couch, with a vapid, smiling expression on my face? please? Damn it all to hell.

Happy Birthday to Babies D. and S. who are now officially one. Does that make them toddlers? Just wondering. Or is the walking thing that gets them into the Toddler Club?

On a final note, let me say that Blogger has redeemed themselves by creating a "recover post" feature...my laptop died right before I published this post; but I logged back into Blogger, hit "recover post" and BAM! there was my post in its entirety. Way to go, Blogger! Mucho thanks!
