I scrapped my little heart out and other news...
WOW! Can I just say that I scrapped a total of FIVE pages last nite? I had a great time, I relaxed, I cropped, I scrapped....
DH put the girls to bed, but when I walked in the door, they were both in bed screaming. I spent the next hour getting everyone to sleep. And, as is par for the course when DH has company, the house was a wreck. My niece left toys all over the floor (I swear these kids were raised by wolves or something). I seethed quietly and waited for morning to come and for DH to get her the hell out of my house.
DH has suggested that we consider splitting the girls up for a "date night". MIL has agreed to take one (what? can't she handle both?), and he wants me to get my mom to take the other. I'm immediately suspicious. I know he has something up his sleeve. The conversation goes like this:
DH: So, my mom will take one of the babies, do you think your mom can take the other?
me: I'll ask...
DH: Well, here's what I have up my sleeve. F. wants us to go out to dinner with him and (F's wife)
me: oh, that's cool. Just dinner? (waiting for the other shoe to drop)
DH: Well, then we'll come back to our house and they'll sleep over, so me and F. can drink & hang out
**sound of the other shoe dropping**
I KNEW IT.
So, he wants me to get rid of the kids so I can put up with a nite of fun & frolic, watching DH and F. drink their asses off, listen to Pink Floyd and slur "Dude, I LOVE you, man". Christ! And as a bonus prize I get to deal with F.'s wife, who I have NOTHING in common with.
In other news (donning my propeller beanie), I have figured out how to fix my sidebar. Now my blogroll and my list of webrings display in an appropriately-sized font. I feel awfully geeky and proud of myself. Now that the blogroll isn't taking up the whole sidebar, I've added some more links. Check them out - show some love and check out their blogs!
I'm off to try and finish my little 6x6 scrapbook. Aren't you jealous?
then I came home.
