R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell

I woke to sad news this morning. Dimebag Darrell (aka Darrell Abbott), former guitarist for the band Pantera, was killed last night in Ohio. His new band Damageplan began playing their set, when someone jumped on stage, and shot him five times. Apparently, the shooter was upset about the breakup of Pantera. Darrell was 38. His brother, Vinnie Paul was also on stage (he's the drummer for Damageplan), and no doubt watched his brother die. I can't even imagine.

Darrell was one of the most prolific and well-known guitarists in metal today, and what happened is an absolute atrocity.

R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell - we hardly knew ya. (spilling my beer onto the ground).

Today is DH's birthday. He passed the Cisco test, so that means its Xmas tree time this weekend. YAY! So I gotta fly - I've got a gazillion things to do before tree trimming.
