Whew. I need to lighten up.

It's Monday. I'm finally starting to emerge from the haze of sickness that has covered my house for the last week. I am starting to feel better myself. And yes, I need to lighten the fuck up sometimes - what can you do? Somdays I'm a cream puff, somedays I'm a bowl of arsenic soup. It's a crap shoot.

Due to the aforementioned sickness that I've been dealing with (my children's as well as my own), I've been forced to let certain things fall to the wayside. As I type this, I'm staring at a pile of bills and other minutae that I need to deal with. I need to regain control of my life, or its going to continue to annoy the piss out of me. So I'll be brief. Here's today's Monday Madness, thanks to our good pal Otto:

1. What time is it right now? - 1:20pm
2. What are you usually doing at this time on any given day? - I'm either staring at my laptop, or tending to my kids.
3. Is there a day of the week that time seems to fly by faster than the other days? - No, they all seem to fly by nowadays.
4. If you could make ONE hour of each day twice as long, which hour of the day would you choose? - The hour at which my children nap - about 2pm.
5. If you could make one DAY of the week twice as long, which day would you choose? - Saturday
6. If you could make one hour and/or one day HALF as long, which time of the day, and which day of the week would you choose? I don't think I'd bother with changing an hour, but I'd change Sundays to be half as long. Hate Sundays.
7. Do you agree with the following statement? "The older you get, the faster time goes by." Yes. And the crow's feet come even faster.
8. What do you usually do during your "down time?" What's that? Who has downtime? Anyone who does can come to my house and I'll put 'em to work.
9. What one thing do you spend more time doing each day than anything else? Taking care of the babies - feeding, medicating, changing, etc etc.

Oh, I agree. The older I get the quicker time goes....despite the fact that I lie about my age.

my entire household has been suffering under the evils of a cold for approximately 2 weeks now and none of us is completely well yet. why do families have to stagger illness. in so doing illness remains in the house far longer. next time, i say, we all get sick at once and have done with it.

or better: don't get sick at all!

i hope you are better now?
